Congratulations to the Annenberg School for Communications for 50 years of ground-breaking contributions to our field!  When I attended the School I had the honor of working with George Gerbner, Robert Lewis Shayon, and Eric Barnouw.  The first International Encyclopedia of Communication project was in its early stages.  It was an exciting time.  Since leaving the School I worked as a corporate spokesperson and crisis manager for a national freight railroad and as a marketing communications specialist for a mutual fund company.  Nearly 17 years ago I created KBM Communications, Inc. to provide freelance writing, editing, consulting and research to a diverse client base on such projects as corporate annual reports, marketing literature, white papers, Web site content, national magazines, and books.
